چکیده
Abstract Biochar and biochar-based materials have been studied extensively in multidisciplinary areas because of their outstanding physicochemical properties. In this review article, biochar the removal environmental pollutants, hydrogen generation carbon dioxide capture were summarized compared. The interaction mechanisms discussed from experimental results characterization analysis. high porous structures, active surface sites, (co)doping single metals/nonmetals, incorporation metal oxides or other improved activity applications. However, there are still some challenges such as: (1) fact that H 2 with selectivity produced syngas to meet real application requirement industrial is main challenge production; (2) selective CO stability, adsorption capacity recyclability at low-cost should be considered focused on; (3) sorption-(photo)degradation organic chemicals; (4) sorption-reduction-extraction/solidification metals/radionuclides efficient methods for elimination pollutants. end, perspectives, possible techniques materials’ future described. متن کاملEnvironmental benefits of biochar.
Understanding and improving environmental quality by reducing soil nutrient leaching losses, reducing bioavailability of environmental contaminants, sequestering C, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and enhancing crop productivity in highly weathered or degraded soils, has been the goal of agroecosystem researchers and producers for years. Biochar, produced by pyrolysis of biomass, may help at...
متن کاملMicrobial Reverse-Electrodialysis Electrolysis and Chemical-Production Cell for H2 Production and CO2 Sequestration
Natural mineral carbonation can be accelerated using acid and alkali solutions to enhance atmospheric CO2 sequestration, but the production of these solutions needs to be carbon-neutral. A microbial reverse-electrodialysis electrolysis and chemical-production cell (MRECC) was developed to produce these solutions and H2 gas using only renewable energy sources (organic matter and salinity gradien...
متن کاملFunctionalized Polymeric Membranes for CO2 Capture
Reducing CO2 emission and lowering the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has quickly become one of the most urgent environmental issues. While a variety of technologies and methods have been developed, the separation of CO2 from gas streams is still a critical issue. Apart from establishing new techniques, the exploration of membrane materials with high separation performance ...
متن کاملNoise an Environmental Pollutant
The harmful effect of the noise on human health has been known for many decades and it's first harmful effect on the hearing came to be known in the year 1831. According to the nature of the work, this di- sease was called Boiler Maker's deafness. Noise due to the industrial machineries is one of the main cause of Environmental Poliution, and among the different industreis, Textile industry i...
